“Wow!!!——”看着身边的伙伴上台领奖，台下的同学们发出一阵阵欢呼！
6月29日的中学颁奖典礼上，被点到名的学生一个个依次从校长手中接过奖状，台下的鼓励声和掌声此起彼伏。孩子们彼此认可、相互支持和鼓励的气氛，正体现着启明星团结、尊重和追求卓越的核心价值观！
老师和家长们也来到现场，和学生们一道庆祝这一学年的顺利结束和他们令人欣慰的成长！肯定学生的进步、成就，给予鼓励，从而更加坚定这些少年追求卓越的信念，一直践行在启明星的教育中。
庆典上，中学部颁发了一系列奖项：启明星核心价值观奖、运动会各赛事奖项、运动会院舍奖、BASE 2021年度U19男生足球赛冠军奖、年鉴封面设计获选奖、科学周项目设计奖……
“看着孩子们拿奖，真是百感交集！特别是刚才上台领奖的足球校队——我几乎看了他们的每一场比赛，我知道他们赢得特别不容易！在有的比赛里，他们几乎全队负伤，但还是坚持下来了！”中学人文课老师张雪野说。
颁奖也少不了学术奖这样的重头戏：学部依据各个学术类奖项的评奖标准，以学术类奖学金嘉奖学术表现卓越的学生：
6至10年级，中文学科奖、设计学科奖、英文学科奖、人文（中文）学科奖、人文（英文）学科奖、数学学科奖、体育与健康学科奖、科学学科奖、视觉艺术学科奖，每年级各有一人获得；音乐学科奖由来自6至8年级的3名同学获得。
嘉奖学术综合表现位于各年级前10%学生的学术荣誉奖学金也同时颁发。学术综合表现位于前三名的学生更特别获得“启明星学者”的荣誉，他们是：

“我并没有把获奖作为一个努力的目标。我的目标是做到最好！为了这一点，我付出了很多努力，上课认真听讲，下课努力完成作业，牺牲休息时间也要把自己的文章改到最好。我始终没有忘记自己的目标。我认为我还有潜力去发掘，还可以有更多的汗水来挥洒，还有更高的地方等着我去探索！

01. 多元化奖学金
多元化奖学金旨在促进学生群体的多元化。这类奖学金的申请者需要在学业方面表现出色，来自不同地区或国家，且拥有与众不同的生活经历或视野，可以丰富启明星社区。
02. 助学金
助学金将提供给那些符合启明星录取条件但无力承担学校学费的学生。
03. 学术荣誉奖学金
该项奖学金重在表彰学业成绩优异的学生。获奖者为各个年级排名前10%的学生。排名前三的学生还将获得“启明星学者”证书。
04. 学科奖学金
学科奖学金旨在表彰和鼓励在各个学科表现优异的学生。6至12年级每学科每年级各一个名额。包括：中文学科奖、英文学科奖、设计学科奖、人文（中文）学科奖、 人文（英文）学科奖、 数学学科奖、音乐学科奖、 体育与健康学科奖、科学学科奖、视觉艺术学科奖。
05. 创始人奖学金
创始人奖学金旨在表彰那些最能彰显启明星双语学校核心价值观且在学业上表现出色的小学生。每位获奖者将获得10000元人民币的奖励。
06. 许士军博士奖学金
该奖项将颁发给那些完成了具有重要意义的社会创业项目的学生。每位获奖者将获得20000元人民币的奖励，6至12年级共设有三个获奖名额。
07. 启明星勇敢学者奖学金
启明星勇敢学者奖学金为那些被顶尖大学录取的学生提供大学学费，旨在支持学生迈向改变世界的旅程。
08. 启明星前沿学者奖学金
启明星前沿学者奖学金将授予启明星双语学校首届12年级毕业生（将于2023年毕业）和9至12年级成绩特别优异的高中生。符合条件的学生将享受高达100%的学费减免。
本学年顺利结束，祝大家度过一个轻松而有意义的假期！
“Hurray!!!” Cheered the students in the audience loudly when the names of their classmates were announced and the recipients went on stage to receive their awards.
At the Secondary School Award Ceremony on Tuesday, June 29th, numerous students received their certificates and awards from the principal with the loud cheering and applauding from their classmates that went on and on. Students recognized and celebrated each other’s achievements with great enthusiasm. The exuberant atmosphere was the epitome of Daystar Academy’s core values of Unity, Respect, and Excellence!
Also present that day were Secondary School teachers and parents, who were excited about witnessing and celebrating students’ achievements and another school year that finished strong. It’s always been the practice of Daystar Academy to affirm the progress and achievements of the students and constantly give encouragement so as to strengthen students’ belief in their pursuit of excellence.
A series of awards were announced and presented during the award ceremony, namely, the Daystar Values Awards, Athletic Awards, Sports Day House Champions, 2021 BASE U-19 Soccer Tournament Champions, Yearbook Cover Design Winner, Science Fair Winners, etc.
“I got really emotional watching these kids receiving their awards, especially the Secondary School Soccer Team! I watched almost every one of their games and knew how hard they fought to win! In some of the games, almost all of them got injured but they still made it to the end and won the championship!” Commented Yuki Zhang, Secondary School Teacher of Chinese Individuals and Societies.
A major component of the award ceremony was the academic awards. The Academic Subjects Awards were awarded to those who demonstrated consistent excellence within the subject.
Under the Academic Subjects Awards, Chinese Subject Award, Design Subject Award, English Subject Award, Humanities (Chinese) Subject Award, Humanities (English) Subject Award, Math Subject Award, PHE Subject Award, Science Subject Award, and Visual Arts Subject Award were awarded respectively to one student from Grade 6 to Grade 10. Three students, from Grade 6 to Grade 8 respectively, were awarded the Music Subject Award.
The Academic Merit Awards were presented to the top 10% students of each grade. The top 3 students (within top 10%) of each grade were titled the Daystar Scholar. They are:

Jack Hsu, CEO of Ivy Education Group, and a board member at Daystar Academy presented the awards to the Daystar Scholars.
“Winning the awards is not my goal. My goal is to do my best and be the best I can be! To achieve this, I worked really hard. I paid attention in classes and I took my homework seriously. I would revise my articles again and again, until it looked good enough to me, even if it meant giving up my time for rest. I believe I have more potential to be uncovered and I can do more to make that happen. I can reach even higher!

Also in this week, the Elementary School at Beigao Campus and Sanlitun Campus have recognized students who demonstrated excellence in their behavior or in their academic learnings.

1. Diversity Scholarship
The Diversity Scholarship aims to increase diversity in our student community. Applicants of this category are expected to do well academically, come from an under-represented country and have a different life experience or perspective that would enrich the Daystar community.
2. Need-Based Scholarship
The Need-Based Scholarship is offered to students who qualify for a Daystar Scholarship but could not otherwise afford the tuition fees at the school.
3. Academic Merit Awards
These awards recognize academic achievements. Awardees are students who rank in the top 10% of each grade level. The top 3 students will also receive a “Daystar Scholars” certificate.
4. Subject Awards
Subject Awards are to recognize and encourage top performing students in each subject. There will be one per each subject per each grade through Grade 6 to 12. The Subject Awards include: Chinese Subject Award, English Subject Award, Design Subject Award, Humanities (Chinese) Subject Award, Humanities (English) Subject Award, Math Subject Award, Music Subject Award, PHE Subject Award, Science Subject Award, and Visual Arts Subject Award.
5. Founder's Scholars
The Founder’s Scholar recognizes elementary students who best demonstrate Daystar Academy’s core values and who are strong academically. Each recipient is entitled to an award of ¥10,000.
6. Dr. Paul S. C. Hsu Social Entrepreneur Prize
This prize is awarded to students who have made significant impact in social entrepreneurship. An award of ¥20,000 will be granted to each recipient, up to three recipients will be awards the prize across the whole Secondary School.
7. Daystar Courageous Scholarship
The Daystar Courageous Scholarship provides college tuition for students who are accepted into top universities. This is in support of a student’s journey to make a difference to the world.
8. Daystar Frontier Scholarship
The Daystar Frontier Scholarship is awarded to Daystar Academy inaugural grade 12 students (graduating year 2023) as well as exceptionally high performing high school students in grades 9 to 12. Eligible students will be entitled to up to 100% tuition exemption.
